Pageturners Lounge Happy Hour Reading
Featuring authors Kate Gale, Shyla Shehan, & Dave Mainelli

Omaha, NE: Pageturners Lounge will be hosting a Happy Hour Reading with authors Kate Gale, Shyla Shehan, and Dave Mainelli. 

Celebrate Gale’s latest release The Loneliest Girl, a narrative in which women are the makers of the world–in which women find their way out from the cave of the Cisthene and into a world where they determine their own destiny.

Shehan’s debut poetry collection, Unsuspecting Cinderella, will be released from Finishing Line Press later this spring. She holds an MFA in Writing from the University of Nebraska where she was awarded an American Academy of Poets Prize. Her poetry has appeared in High Shelf Press, The Decadent Review, Gyroscope Review, Plainsongs, and elsewhere. Shyla is co-founder and editor of The Good Life Review. Mainelli teaches writing at Iowa Western and Wayne State College. How to Be Lonely is his first book of short stories. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska MFA in Fiction and a singing/songwriting member of Bazile Mills. He has also owned restaurants for over 25 years and has traveled around the world as a business consultant.

About Kate Gale: Dr. KATE GALE is co-founder and Managing Editor of Red Hen Press, Editor of the Los Angeles Review. She teaches in the Low Residency MFA program at the University of Nebraska in Poetry, Fiction, and Creative Non-Fiction.

She is the author of The Loneliest Girl from the University of New Mexico Press and of seven books of poetry including The Goldilocks Zone from the University of New Mexico Press in 2014, Echo Light from Red Mountain in 2014, and six librettos including Rio de Sangre, a libretto for an opera with composer Don Davis, which had its world premiere October 2010 at the Florentine Opera in Milwaukee. kategale.com
